Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how needmorecache ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the 2048+ app (Google Play) / 2048 Plus app (App Store).

2. Information We Collect

2-1. Account information

The app uses anonymous sign-in by default. No personal information is required to play. If you optionally link a Google or Apple account to back up your records, we receive:

• A unique user ID. When you sign in with Google or Apple, the authentication provider (Firebase Authentication) may retain your email address and name to enable sign-in.
• Our game servers (ranking database) store only your display name and country code — we do not collect your profile photo.
• Display name (optional, set by you in-app).

2-2. Game records

• Scores, combo counts, and best records (stored locally and, if you sign in, in cloud)
• Country code (used for regional leaderboards — selected by you in-app)
• Replay snippets (game move sequences for the Blind mode replay feature — retained for up to 90 days)

2-3. Automatically collected data

• Crash logs, device model, OS version, and app version (collected by Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve stability)

We do not use general usage analytics (e.g. Firebase Analytics is not integrated).

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide game functionality (leaderboards, cloud backup of records)
• To improve the app (crash and stability analysis)
• We do not sell your data or use it for targeted advertising

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, Cloud Firestore database, Crashlytics (crash reporting)
• Google Sign-In — Optional account linking
• Sign in with Apple — Optional account linking (iOS only)
• Google AdMob — Advertising SDK bundled in the app, but not active in the current release (no ads are shown)

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• Open the app → Settings → Data → Delete Account
• This permanently deletes your Firebase Auth account, all cloud records (rankings, profile), and local device data.

Replay snippets are automatically deleted after 90 days. Anonymous accounts not linked to Google or Apple are deleted along with their data when you use the in-app delete function or uninstall the app and reinstall (a new anonymous account is created).

6. Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is rated for ages 3+ and does not require any personal information to play.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
